Awesome. Thanks. I'm gonna go look through it. EDIT: Hey, I'm impressed. You've actually got some soundtrack stuff in here. So far nothing I don't already have, but it's a start. Awesome that you got Bing Crosby too.

Haha. I have no idea when we will hang out. Sometime I guess. So this scary music, it could be awesome, but if I'm going to send my horror films to a festival or something it's gotta be original. I should hear that music, though. I love creepy music. Oh yeah, I'm still writing my horror script. I did some more on it last night. I should post it up here sometime if I can figure out how. What I have done of it anyway. Not completed yet. And this is just the first draft too. Oh yeah again. If you know where I can get a Cr@ck for something called DVFilm Maker, let me know. I've gotta remove the watermark from the trial version. www.dvfilm.com/maker/I need to get it so I can remove pulldown on my 24p footage.

Awesome. I'll go through each one of these. But right now my internet is about to go out. My mom has this damn timer thing so it goes off at like 12 every night. Tomorrow I'll go through each one, though.
No pressure on finding the cr@ck. If I get a job here soon I can just buy the program.

Lustmord - Black Star (One of my personal favorites, very weird and scary) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Purifying%20Fire%20-%2004%20-%20Black%20Star.mp3Wow. Now this is quality horror music. This is almost exactly the kind of thing I want in my horror movie. It's dark and hellish, and it has this alien/otherwordly quality to it. That roaring beast sound is awesome. Horror music is something that should make a person feel unsettled. This music is perfect to that end. It sounds like insanity. It sounds like something you would hear while walking around in Hell. Excellent music. Lustmord - Blood Deep in Dread (scary) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Metavoid%20-%2002%20-%20Blood%20Deep%20in%20Dread.mp3Not nearly as scary. More catchy than scary, but I still like it. Lustmord - The Outer Shadow (scary) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Metavoid%20-%2005%20-%20The%20Outer%20Shadow.mp3Still not that scary most of the time, but some of the sounds are pretty dark and menacing, and the drums are cool. Towards the end it starts to get a bit more horrific at times. Cool song, but wouldn't really fit with the horror movie I'm writing now. Lustmord - The Cell (another one of my favs, scary) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Zoetrope%20-%2002%20-%20The%20Cell.mp3Not as scary as Black Star, but much closer to what I've got in mind. It's dark and ambient. That's good. Lustmord - Cellular Blur (overall scary) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Zoetrope%20-%2003%20-%20Cellular%20Blur.mp3Good. Not extremely scary, but dark and atmospheric. Lustmord - Oblivion (I like this one too) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Metavoid%20-%2004%20-%20Oblivion.mp3Cool. I like the somewhat Arabic tone to it. I would put it in a movie, but it would be a very different kind of movie than the one I'm working on now. It would probably still be some horror movie. It's cool, this song made me imagine some other movie I'd like to make. Something maybe in Egypt. Dark tombs. Lustmord - Transitional Pathway (this one is very weird and freaky) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Zoetrope%20-%2005%20-%20Transitional%20Pathway.mp3Pretty good. Sounds like an ambient soundscape. Loses me a bit near the end, but overall it's pretty good. Lustmord - The Harrow (very creepy) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Zoetrope%20-%2007%20-%20The%20Harrow.mp3Getting a bit scarier again. A lot of strange things going on in this soundscape. Sounds kind of like a nightmare. Things fly past. Stuff appears and then disappears. Sounds very industrial in some parts. Sounds like an evil laboratory sometimes. I can hear arcing electricity. Evil vocals abound. Starts to get very dark and intense near the end. Very horrific sounds near the end. Not so much music, but very intense. A lot of interesting stuff here. Some of it would fit in my horror movie. The best one so far is probably Black Star. It comes the closest to being something I'd put in the horror movie I'm currently developing.

Lustmord - Descent (very creepy) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Zoetrope%20-%2004%20-%20Descent.mp3This one is pretty cool. Sounds a lot like a dream sequence some of the time. Pretty creepy all through it. Lustmord - The Eliminating Angel (has tons of creepy sounds in it) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Metavoid%20-%2003%20-%20The%20Eliminating%20Angel.mp3The first part of this song is nice and creepy. Pretty awesome really. After that it starts to have sort of a theme tune to it. It's still cool, but less creepy. It's still fairly ominous though, even in the tune part. There's a lot of creepy sounds constantly echoing in the background. At about 6:20 those cool wavering violins start for a bit and then fade out. Those are good. 8:15 it starts to get kind of dramatic. Not real scary, but it does sound kind of epic and apocalyptic, which is cool. Sounds kind of like the wars that end the world. Armies of death marching on the cities and killing and destroying everything. The overall midi sound to it is a bit detracting, but it is well done for electronic music. It is only noticeable when the music goes into thematic mode. 10:40. Evil violins are back and the music takes a turn for the creepy again. More creepy stuff, and then it ends. Cool. Sometimes scary, but overall dark and ominous music. Lustmord - Deep Calls to Deep (overall creepy, very ambient) source.viviotech.net/todo/Lustmord%20-%20Purifying%20Fire%20-%2002%20-%20Deep%20Calls%20to%20Deep.mp3Nice. This is starting off very dark and desolate. About 1:55 there's a really cool vocal-ish sound. This one is really good so far. Sounds like I'm walking around under a dark overcast in an empty town. Some sounds are like thunder in the distant. About 3:20 there's that cool vocal stuff again. Very very dark and evil sounding. I'm liking this one a lot so far. 4:08 there are some seriously creepy sounds starting. Damn. This is good. It's sounding a lot like the evil and darkness of the forest in my horror movie. Oh awesome. This song keeps the eerie creep factor up without throwing in loud effects. It's all dark and ambient. Perfect. This song reflects the themes of isolation and darkness better than most of the others. I like the crickets that are inserted here and there. Halfway through it starts to sound less scary and more dreamy. Like some weird dreamscape. 10:15 we get a very subtle eerie sound. The dreaminess stuff is starting to very slowly fade out as these weird reverberating alien-ish sounds are added in. I like them. They sound like a strange insect somewhere off in the night. Now it's getting louder, and more frequent. 12:45 it gets a lot louder and longer. I like. Very organic sounding. Song is fading out now. The end. Of all the songs I've listened to from Lustmord, Deep Calls to Deep and Black Star would probably fit the tone of my movie the best. Oh yeah. There's a sci-fi movie from the 50s called Forbidden Planet. Scariest movie ever made, in my opinion. One of the best sci-fi movies ever. A masterpiece. It scared the crap out of me since I was a kid, and I've loved it ever since. The soundtrack is by Louise and Bebe Barron. I think it's the first completely electronic soundtrack ever. If you listen to recordings of outer space that have been turned into sound, it sounds a lot like this. This music is dark and evil. The only movie that ever really gave me nightmares, the soundtrack is mostly to blame. I found a myspace with some of the music, although I have the whole soundtrack on my computer. www.myspace.com/forbiddenplanettI really love this soundtrack. I listen to it a lot. It is, hands down, the scariest, creepiest, and eeriest music I've ever heard. Maybe that's just cuz I heard it as a child, but I can't imagine anything else being more bizarrely alien and evil. Main Theme Starts out with the MGM lion roaring. This track sets the tone for the entire movie. Love At The Swimming Hole Supposed to be a romantic part, but thanks to the soundtrack nearly every scene of this movie was scary to me as a kid. The music kept me aware that no matter how safe you think you are, there's still a sinister and evil force out there. Krell Power Station This is the scene where Morbius takes Commander Adams and Doc Ostrow, by shuttlecar, into the great underground station built by the Krell over half a million years ago. Tons of weird machinery hundreds of times bigger than the men pulsate all around them. The station is huge. 20 miles by 20 miles. Don't look down. It's a long long long drop. Battle With The Monster Of course, the scariest parts of the movie involved the Id Monster. The invisible menace prowls around the ship in the middle of the night, murdering people or sabotaging equipment. This scene is insane. The crew of the ship are attacked by the monster as it is illuminated by neutron beams. Here's a youtube video with some scenes from the movie. youtube.com/watch?v=ZIuc1_Qg4A8Although if you ever plan on watching it all the way through, I don't recommend watching clips of it first.

Cool. Glad you found it to download. I finally got it on DVD last Christmas. Nice remastered version. Hopefully this download version is remastered too, but the earlier DVD version still looks good. Enjoy.
